When do I find her alone
in the springtime of her life?
Is she happy with the person she's become?
She played in the garden today

A child, hair blowing in the gentle breeze
Feeling adolescence creep up for the last time
Playful see-saw type day, red in the face laughing
Spring brings heat from the Southwest
to give her onw more refreshing daytime dream
A final chapter to her binder of memories
A last frolic through knee high daisies, almost gone

She's stepping off the merry-go-round
Drifting sleepless, yet very tired onto the gravel path
Off into the horizon, sunset brings the end
