Sit in darkness
Stretching your imagination
Thousands of years
Stones discovered before your birth
I left a dream behind

Mismatched times
Put me in history
Back where I belong
Ages removed, centuries
Chivalry fits like a smooth glove
put on again for the first time in winter
Left to protect the hand
Defending young damsels, medieval and ancient

Carry me back to shattered romance
Misled lovers held on a Renaissance night
Never ready to die, but willing to
Find me a castle within your ruins
so that I can feel love so true
as felt by the young Knights
Never felt by twentieth century man

Send me back to Holy times
We never remember
We can never forget
